KBC (National TV Appearance)

So this is one of those things that still feels a little unreal to me.

I got the chance to be a contestant on Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), which is the Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. The episode aired on November 29, 2023, and was hosted by Amitabh Bachchan.

I had seen the show on TV before like everyone else, but I never really thought I'd actually end up there someday.

The selection process itself took some time there were multiple rounds like answering questions, calls, and ground audition with a personal interview. Every step felt like “ok maybe this will happen… or maybe not,” so I wasn't really expecting anything until it actually did.

Something I realized later

This part is a bit funny.

Around 7 years before this, I had made a small quiz game based on the KBC. It wasn't anything serious, just something I built while learning and experimenting.

So when I was actually sitting there on the hot seat, answering questions in the same format, it felt a bit strange in a good way.

Like I had seen this before but from the other side.

Being there

Being on the show is very different from just watching it.

There's a lot going on at once lights, cameras, people, everything and then suddenly it's just you and the question.

Even simple questions start feeling confusing sometimes because you're trying to not mess up I even took lifeline on first question you have time to think, but it still feels fast.

I think the hardest part wasn't the questions, it was staying calm and not overthinking.

What happened

I ended up winning ₹640,000.

Which is obviously really nice, but honestly the whole experience of just being there is what stayed with me more.

Looking back

I didn't plan for this or expect it to happen. It's just one of those random moments where something you did years ago (like making that quiz game) somehow connects back in a much bigger way And yeah… I'm just really glad I got to experience it :D
