Why this matters to me
I started sketching during the covid lockdown in 2020 and it made me experience a totally new world of creativity! I never wanted to buy courses as my parents were alr spending on my education and I always love learning something from my own efforts and lurking on the internet! so that's what I did to learn sketching
initially you should not ask me what I made cause it was reallllyyyy badd like trust me the people whom I portrayed in those were not even close to a cartoon figure it was more like a stick figure with some curved lines still idk how I was very proud when I made them
but with consistent practice and filling 2 full sketchbooks ( about 40 pages each ) I finally got better and was able to make portraits of people, I didn't choose the people near me as I was still making neither good nor bad portraits so I used to make pictures of celebrity or famous people and I used to be very happy with each sketch I made! I used to sit for like 6-7 (OMG SIX SEVENNNN) hours to make one sketch and I almost forget that I had a life or water or food or friends or anything else :D
Once I got better I started to make sketches of my family and friends and gift them on their birthdays or anniversaries I will still saw they are really bad but I make them with a lot of love in my heart and I am sure that the people who received them can feel that love in those sketches :)))))
I won a few prizes in my school for the sketches that I made and I even gifted my prinicpal a sketch of him on his birthday :D ( I don't have the photo of that but I will add it here if I find it :) )
I misplaced one of my sketchbooks which had the old sketches in it during the move to my new house but I still have the other ones and I will share some of the sketches here :) I hope you like them I know they are not the best and there are many mistakes and others can do much better but its something that I made with a lot of love and I am really happy about it ^^
